RoastMyCopy is operated by Keku Technology Services LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”). RoastMyCopy is a web-based tool that provides AI-powered conversion feedback for web pages. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

• IP address — Used for rate limiting (5 requests/hour) and tracking free roast usage (1 per IP, 30-day retention). We do not store your full IP permanently.
• URLs you submit — Processed in real-time to generate feedback. We do not store the URLs or page content after analysis, unless you share a roast (stored for 90 days).
• Cookies — A functional credit_id cookie is set when you purchase credits. This is necessary for the service to function and links your browser to your purchased credits. No personal information is stored in this cookie.
• Analytics data — We use PostHog to understand how users interact with RoastMyCopy (page views, button clicks, feature usage). You can opt out via the cookie consent banner.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the conversion audit service
• To prevent abuse via rate limiting
• To track purchased credits
• To improve our product through anonymized analytics

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — Processes page text to generate feedback. Subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
• Lemon Squeezy — Handles all payment processing as our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your payment information. Subject to Lemon Squeezy’s Privacy Policy.
• PostHog — Product analytics. Subject to PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
• Upstash Redis — Stores rate limit data, credit balances, and shared roasts. No personal data beyond IP hashes and random credit IDs.
• Vercel — Hosts the application. Subject to Vercel’s Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• IP-based rate limit records: 30 days
• Shared roast data: 90 days
• Credit balances: Until used or 1 year of inactivity
• Analytics data: Managed by PostHog (see their retention policy)

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Object to data processing

7. Cookies

We use two types of cookies:

• Functional cookies (no consent required): credit_id for tracking purchased credits, theme for your dark/light mode preference.

8. Children’s Privacy

RoastMyCopy is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
